Getting Started

Access Sitebuilder

  1. Log into your hosting control panel (DirectAdmin)
  2. Go to Sitebuilder or Website Builder
  3. Select your domain
  4. Choose a webshop template

Choose the Right Template

Consider:

  • Your industry/products
  • Desired layout
  • Mobile-friendliness
  • Color scheme

You can always customize later.

Configure Your Store

Store Settings

  1. Click on E-commerce in the menu
  2. Go to Store Settings
  3. Configure:
    • Store name
    • Currency (EUR, USD, etc.)
    • Tax settings
    • Weight unit

Business Information

Add your details:

  • Company name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • VAT number (if applicable)

Adding Products

Create Product Categories

  1. Go to E-commerce > Categories
  2. Click Add Category
  3. Enter:
    • Category name
    • Description
    • Image (optional)
  4. Create subcategories if needed

Add Individual Products

  1. Go to E-commerce > Products
  2. Click Add Product
  3. Fill in:
    • Product name
    • Description (detailed)
    • Price
    • Images (multiple angles)
    • SKU (stock code)
    • Weight

Product Variations

For products with options (size, color):

  1. Enable Variants
  2. Add option types (Size, Color)
  3. Add option values (S, M, L, XL)
  4. Set price differences if applicable
  5. Manage inventory per variant

Inventory Management

Track Stock

  1. Enable inventory tracking per product
  2. Set stock quantities
  3. Configure low stock alerts
  4. Set behavior for out-of-stock items

  • Low stock email alerts

Configure Payments

Available Payment Methods

Sitebuilder supports:

Setting Up Stripe

  1. Create account at stripe.com
  2. Get your API keys
  3. In Sitebuilder: E-commerce > Payments
  4. Select Stripe
  5. Enter API keys
  6. Enable desired card types

Setting Up PayPal

  1. Go to E-commerce > Payments
  2. Select PayPal
  3. Enter your PayPal email
  4. Configure settings
  5. Test with sandbox mode first

Setting Up iDEAL

For Dutch customers:

  1. Create account with Mollie or Stripe
  2. Enable iDEAL in their dashboard
  3. Configure in Sitebuilder
  4. Test with a small transaction

Configure Shipping

Shipping Zones

  1. Go to E-commerce > Shipping
  2. Create shipping zones:
    • Domestic (Netherlands)
    • EU countries
    • Worldwide

Shipping Rates

Options per zone:

  • Flat rate: Fixed price per order
  • By weight: Price based on total weight
  • By price: Price based on order value
  • Free shipping: Above certain amount

Free Shipping Threshold

Encourage larger orders:

  1. Set minimum order amount
  2. Display progress to free shipping
  3. Promote in your store

Tax Settings

VAT Configuration

  1. Go to E-commerce > Taxes

  2. Configure tax rates:

    • 21% (standard rate)
    • 9% (reduced rate)
    • 0% (exempt)

  3. Set tax display:

    • Prices including VAT
    • Prices excluding VAT

Tax by Region

For international sales:

  • EU: Configure VAT per country
  • Outside EU: Often tax-free
  • Check local regulations
