You've bought a domain name and a hosting package, congratulations! Now, of course, you want to start receiving and sending e-mails. To do this, you first need an e-mail address, this is the space you can use to send and receive e-mails.
In this guide, we will explain how to create one. First, it is important that you are logged into MyT7.
Looking up a hosting package
Once logged into MyT7, navigate to Hosting > My packages. From the list, select the desired hosting package where the domain name is located.
Create an e-mail account
You will see an overview with all the features of your package. Now click on Email Accounts in the overview next to your package.
Here you can see which e-mail addresses have already been created. To create a new one, click Create Account. You will now see several options:
- Account: Your e-mail address itself, here you choose your domain name and what should come before @.
- Password: The password you want to set for the e-mail account. You can also choose to generate a strong password under Generate.
- Quota: Here you can choose how much storage (in MB) this mailbox can use. You are always still stuck with the limit of your package. Unlimited quota means you can use the entire package.
- Send limit: Here you can choose how many e-mails can be sent per day. You are always limited to the limit of your package. Unlimited send limit means you can use the whole package.
Finally, click Create to create the e-mail address.
Congratulations, you can now use your e-mail address!
