Your phone is full of photos and you want them safely on your computer. There are several ways to transfer photos. In this article, we explain all the options.

Method 1: USB cable

iPhone to Windows

  1. Connect your iPhone to the PC with the Lightning cable
  2. Unlock your iPhone and tap "Trust"
  3. Open File Explorer on Windows
  4. Click on "Apple iPhone" under "This PC"
  5. Navigate to DCIM > folders with photos
  6. Copy the photos to a folder on your PC

iPhone to Mac

  1. Connect your iPhone
  2. Open the Photos app on your Mac
  3. Your iPhone appears in the sidebar
  4. Click "Import All" or select specific photos

Android to Windows

  1. Connect your phone with the USB cable
  2. Select "File transfer" or "MTP" on your phone
  3. Open File Explorer
  4. Navigate to your phone > DCIM > Camera
  5. Copy the photos

Method 2: Cloud sync

Google Photos

  1. Install Google Photos on your phone
  2. Enable automatic backup
  3. Go to photos.google.com on your computer
  4. Download photos as needed

iCloud (iPhone)

  1. Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos
  2. Enable "iCloud Photos"
  3. Go to icloud.com/photos on your computer
  4. Download your photos

Method 3: Wireless (same network)

AirDrop (iPhone to Mac)

  1. Enable AirDrop on both devices
  2. Select photos on your iPhone
  3. Tap Share > AirDrop > your Mac

Nearby Share (Android)

  1. Enable Nearby Share on both devices
  2. Select photos
  3. Tap Share > Nearby Share
